Ittihad Tangier Snatches a Thrilling Victory from Wydad

In a nail-biting match until the final whistle, Ittihad Tanger managed to turn the tables on Wydad Athletic Club and snatch a valuable 2-1 victory in the encounter that brought the two teams together today, Wednesday, as part of the 22nd round of the "Inwi" Professional Championship - First Division.

Wydad seemed closer to securing the match after Mohammed Mufid opened the scoring in the 61st minute, putting his team in the lead and controlling the outcome for a period of the game.

However, Ittihad Tangier refused to surrender and managed to get back into the game in the 74th minute through Jawad Gabra, who restored balance and reignited the match in its final minutes.

As the match neared its end, the excitement intensified significantly before Mohamed Laroush delivered the knockout blow by scoring the decisive winning goal in the 90+4 minute, granting Ittihad Tanger a dramatic victory away from home.

With this loss, Wydad Athletic Club's total froze at 40 points, placing them fifth in the standings, while Ittihad Tanger raised their total to 26 points in tenth place, strengthening their position in the championship race.
