Wydad Extends Candidacy Period for Club Presidency Until June 30

Wydad Athletic Club has opened the door for more candidates interested in running for the club's presidency, after announcing today, Friday, the extension of the period for receiving candidacy applications. This move reflects the administration's aim to enhance participation in the upcoming electoral process.

The club clarified in an official statement that the deadline for submitting candidacy files for the presidency of Wydad, along with membership applications, has been set for June 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM. This decision came after receiving several requests from members calling for an extension to allow those interested to complete their procedures.

The management office confirmed that the decision to extend is part of its commitment to expanding the participation base and providing an opportunity for various potential candidates to submit their applications under conditions that ensure the principle of equal opportunity for all, in preparation for selecting the leadership that will manage the club in the upcoming phase.

The club had previously opened the candidacy period from May 25 to June 5, 2026, before deciding to extend the deadline to the end of the current month, giving candidates additional time to prepare their files and draft their electoral programs.
