The Romanian club Cluj officially announced the signing of the experienced Algerian striker Islam Slimani on a free transfer to bolster the team's attack for the current season.

Slimani's (36 years old) joining comes after a previous stint in the Belgian league with Anderlecht, as the player decided to take on a new challenge in his football career within the Romanian league.

Slimani has extensive experience at the European club level, having played for several prominent teams, most notably Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, Leicester City in England, and Lyon in France, in addition to being a prolific scorer for the Algerian national team.

Cluj hopes that Slimani will provide a strong attacking addition thanks to his experience and scoring abilities, contributing to enhancing the team's chances in competing for local titles and continental participation.
