The Egyptian Border Guard Club faced an unexpected crisis after failing to register its new defender, Iskander Al-Abidi, despite his official signing of a two-year contract during the ongoing summer transfer window.

The crisis stems from the refusal of the Tunisian club, Union Sportive de Ben Guerdane, to grant the player an international transfer certificate, which has prevented his registration in the records of the Egyptian Football Association, especially with the closing of the foreign player registration period in the Egyptian league.

Al-Abidi had joined the team's training and participated in all its friendly matches in preparation for the new season; however, the issue of his official registration remains pending, awaiting the outcome of administrative attempts in the upcoming phase.
