Mahmoud Al-Zanfali, the current goalkeeper of Haras El Hodoud and former Al-Ahly player, talked about several matters regarding his time at the Red Castle and the reason behind the failure of his transfer to Zamalek while he was playing for El-Dakhleya.

Al-Zanfali stated in an interview on the program 'Stars of the Nile League' with journalist Ahmed Al-Masry on 'On Sport FM' radio that merely belonging to Al-Ahly club represents a significant milestone in any player's career due to its rich history and great status, affirming that the value a player gains from being within the club remains and is influential, whether they get the opportunity to participate in matches or not.

Al-Zanfali pointed out that his departure from Al-Ahly was not based on his personal request but was the result of a certain situation that occurred during that period, confirming at the same time his acceptance of the matter and his belief in God's will and destiny.

He stressed that Kohler is a fair coach who only selects those ready for matches, indicating that a player wrongs themselves if they fall short in their training or lose focus because any coach's ultimate goal is success and relying on those most deserving of being in the main lineup.

Al-Zanfali revealed the behind-the-scenes of his transfers during the past period, explaining that while he was with El-Dakhleya, he had signed with Zamalek, but the registration ban prevented the completion of the deal.
