Walid Salah El-Din, the new director of football at Al Ahly Club, expressed his happiness at taking on this position and called on the red fans to support the coaching staff and the team in the upcoming phase.

Walid Salah El-Din said in statements to the official Al Ahly website: "Working in any position within Al Ahly is a great honor, and for us as a coaching staff, we will make the utmost sacrifice possible and will spare no effort to bring happiness to the millions of fans who we have always relied on for support and standing by the club."

He continued: "I would like to thank Al Ahly fans and express my deep gratitude for the outpouring of love I received after the announcement of my appointment as director of football, which was followed by a flood of calls I received from inside and outside Egypt."

The director of football confirmed that Mahmoud El-Khatib, the club president and supervisor of football, has expressed his full confidence in the coaching staff and granted them all the authorities, each in their position, to overcome this phase.

He added: "Al Ahly is the most pressured club, and the club's fans only want to win and be crowned with all the championships. I have lived under this pressure and have experienced it over the 22 years I spent inside the club."

He continued: "We have difficult matches in the current month of September, and we are capable of overcoming this phase with Captain Emad El-Nahas, who worked under difficult conditions last season and led the team to win the league title, and all members of the staff are club members with a wealth of experience, and in general, I am not worried about Al Ahly with the presence of players who are the best in Africa."

Walid Salah El-Din concluded his statements by calling on all Al Ahly fans and supporters to be patient with the coaching staff and to provide support and assistance in all decisions to overcome the current phase and reach the team to the position it deserves, bringing joy to its fans.
