Officially: Arnau Tenas Joins Villarreal
The Spanish club Villarreal announced its signing of goalkeeper Arnau Tenas from Paris Saint-Germain, with a contract extending for four years, until June 2029.
Tenas is considered one of the most prominent Spanish talents in the goalkeeper position, known for his quick reflexes and ability to save close-range shots, as well as his high skills in playing with his feet.
Arnau Tenas graduated from Barcelona's academy and made his debut with the Catalan club's reserve team in March 2019, at the age of seventeen, making him one of the rising goalkeepers in Spain.
In 2023, he joined Paris Saint-Germain, where he won six titles, most notably the UEFA Champions League, despite limited appearances with the team.
On the international level, Tenas won a gold medal with the Spanish national team at the Paris 2024 Olympics as the starting goalkeeper, and he also won the UEFA Under-19 Championship in 2019, regularly participating with youth national teams until he was called up to the senior team in 2022.
