Manchester United clarify stance on Mainoo's departure amid Paris Saint-Germain interest

Manchester United are refusing to let Kobbie Mainoo leave during the January transfer window, despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain and several European clubs.

TEAMtalk reports that sources within the club have confirmed the management's insistence on keeping the 21-year-old midfielder, who has the trust of manager Michael Carrick and is considered an important part of his plans.

Kobbie Mainoo has started five matches in the Premier League and two in the UEFA Champions League this season, despite increased competition for midfield positions.

The player previously struggled for game time under Ruben Amorim but expressed gratitude to Carrick for giving him confidence since taking charge.

Manchester United sources have confirmed that Kobbie Mainoo is not for sale and that his departure will only be considered in the event of a substantial financial offer, with the club keen to retain him at Old Trafford.
