Manchester United Ruins Barcelona's Plans
Wednesday 13-08-2025
The Spanish newspaper "Sport" reported that FC Barcelona is in a state of discontent following the transfer of Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško to Manchester United, a deal that the Catalan club considers a significant blow to its future plans.

According to the report, Šeško was the primary target for sporting director Deco and the Barcelona management to be the anticipated successor to Polish star Robert Lewandowski by the summer of 2026.

The club's management sees the loss of this deal as a strategic setback, prompting Barcelona to begin searching for other options to strengthen this critical position in their lineup.

Julian Alvarez, the striker from Atlético Madrid, is among Barcelona's main targets for next summer to bolster their attacking line.

It is worth noting that Šeško joined Manchester United this summer for €76 million plus €8.5 million in bonuses, signing a contract until the summer of 2030.
