Manchester United Announces Departure of Jadon Sancho and Five Other Players

Wednesday 10-06-2026
Manchester United officially announced the list of players leaving the team at the end of the 2025-2026 season, confirming the departure of Englishman Jadon Sancho along with Brazilian Casemiro and Dutchman Tyrell Malacia, in addition to Sonny Aljofree, James Beadle, and Malachi Sharpe.

Sancho joined Manchester United in the summer of 2021 from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million. He played 83 matches for the team, scoring 12 goals and providing 6 assists. The player experienced several loan spells in recent years with Borussia Dortmund, then Chelsea and Aston Villa, before the club decided not to renew his contract, which expires at the end of this June.

Casemiro's departure was confirmed after spending four seasons at Old Trafford since his transfer from Real Madrid in 2022, during which he played in over 150 matches and contributed to winning the English League Cup and the FA Cup, before officially bidding farewell to the fans at the end of the season.

For his part, Malasia is leaving the club after four years that began promisingly before a severe knee injury sidelined him for a long period. Manchester United confirmed that it will support the young players departing from the academy in their search for new clubs, providing them with special follow-up programs after they leave the club.
