Darwin Nunez's transfer to Al Hilal has distanced the Saudi club's chances of signing Polish striker Robert Lewandowski from Barcelona, who was linked with a potential move during the current summer.

Reports have indicated that Lewandowski does not wish to leave Barcelona and plans to complete his contract with the Catalan club, expressing his comfort and stability in preparation for the new season under coach Hans Flick.

Despite Saudi attempts to attract the Polish player for free after his contract with Barcelona ends, Lewandowski's refusal has put an end to this potential deal.

In response, Al Hilal quickly addressed the stalled Lewandowski deal by signing Nunez from Liverpool, with a total deal value of around 65 million euros, a contract extending for three years, and an annual salary exceeding 20 million euros.

According to sources, Al Hilal will not seek to acquire Lewandowski again during the current season or even by the end of the season, with the possibility of the player renewing his contract with Barcelona based on his performance in the upcoming season.
