Anticipated Meeting to Decide Ansu Fati's Future

Saturday 13-06-2026
The transfer deal of Ansu Fati from Barcelona to French club Monaco is nearing its final stages, after an agreement was reached on most of the terms. A final meeting is awaited to settle the remaining details and officially announce the deal in the coming days.

The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," citing sources familiar with the negotiations, reported that all major obstacles facing the process have been overcome, and only a few minor contractual aspects remain that need final drafting before the agreement can be officially completed.

Ansu Fati is currently spending his vacation in Brazil, while the agreed-upon terms stipulate his transfer to Monaco with a contract lasting at least four years, with the possibility of extending it to five years depending on the outcome of the final discussions between the concerned parties.

Barcelona will retain the right to repurchase the player for 29 million euros according to the clause included in the agreement, and it is not ruled out that a percentage of the value of any future transfer of Fati may be included.

The anticipated meeting with agent Jorge Mendes holds special significance, as Barcelona aims to finalize the deal as soon as possible to account for it within the current financial year, which is an important economic goal for the Catalan club.

The delay in closing the deal is due to Mendes being involved with several other matters, as he also manages the affairs of José Mourinho and Bernardo Silva. He is currently working on completing negotiations and deals related to Real Madrid before fully dedicating himself to finalizing Ansu Fati's transfer to Monaco.
