Van Persie: I Always Dreamed of Barcelona and Was Close One Day
The famous Dutch star Robin van Persie, the coach of Feyenoord, spoke about the dream he had when he was a player to join Barcelona.
Van Persie said: "In 2015, when I was playing for Fenerbahçe for a few months, my agent at the time, Kees, told me that Barcelona was talking about me as a very viable option."
He continued: "But after a while, he called me and told me that it was not possible; unfortunately, that did not happen. I had a strong desire to play for Barcelona."
It is noteworthy that Van Persie was among the best strikers in the world between 2005 and 2015, most of which he spent with Arsenal and Manchester United.
