Manchester United is awaiting an official move from Barcelona to sign their striker Marcus Rashford during the current summer transfer window, amid the player's desire to join the Catalan team.

Sky Sports reported that Barcelona is working behind the scenes to finalize the deal, having prioritized Rashford to strengthen the winger position this summer, especially after failing to sign Nico Williams.

The source clarified that the Spanish club has already explored the terms of the deal, but has not yet officially contacted Manchester United.

Rashford returned to Manchester United after completing his loan to Aston Villa, where he played the second half of last season and contributed to 10 goals in 17 matches, scoring 4 and assisting 6.
