The Court Rejects Osasuna's Appeal Regarding Inigo Martinez's Case
Friday 13-06-2025
A Spanish media report confirmed that the Administrative Court of Sports rejected the appeal submitted by Osasuna regarding Barcelona player Inigo Martinez's participation in the match between the two teams this season.

Inigo played as a starter in the match between the two teams in the 27th round of La Liga, while Osasuna argued that the player's participation was illegal, as it came after he was excluded from the Spanish national team during the break prior to the match.

According to FIFA regulations, any player who withdrew from the national team or was not called up is prohibited from playing with his team within 5 days of his national team's last match during the break.

The Spanish network 'COPE' reported that the Administrative Court rejected the appeal submitted by Osasuna, while Osasuna is considering raising the complaint to the ordinary judiciary.

Osasuna is fighting to win this case, which would allow them to gain 3 points that would enable them to participate in Europe next season.

If Barcelona loses this case, their title win will not be affected as they finished the season 4 points ahead of Real Madrid.
