The English club Brentford has officially begun negotiations with Liverpool's management to sign Irish goalkeeper Kaimaheen Kelleher during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Kelleher is 26 years old and is contracted with the Reds until the summer of 2026, but he prefers to leave this summer in search of an opportunity to play regularly, given the difficulty of competing with Brazilian Alisson Becker and the arrival of new goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia.

Brentford considers the Irish goalkeeper a suitable option to protect the team's goal, in anticipation of Dutchman Mark Flecken's departure to Bayer Leverkusen.
