The Spanish club Barcelona officially announced today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the renewal of the contract of young star Lamine Yamal, to ensure his continued presence within the team for a longer period, following the impressive levels he has shown with the Catalan club.

Lamine Yamal first joined Barcelona's first team on July 1, 2023, and since then he has successfully established himself in the starting lineup, contributing to the achievement of several titles with the team.

Although his current contract was set to expire on June 30, 2026, Barcelona's management decided to extend the contract early to secure the stay of the Spanish talent for as long as possible.

The club announced through its official website that Lamine Yamal has signed a new contract that extends until June 30, 2031, after reaching a final agreement with his agent Jorge Mendes, following several meetings, the latest of which was today.

Lamine Yamal, who is 17 years old, had an exceptional season with Barcelona, participating in 55 matches across all competitions, scoring 18 goals and providing 25 assists, directly contributing to the team's triumph in three titles this season, namely La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
