Laporta's Deputy Attacks Mbappe and Criticizes His Suspension Duration
Rafa Yusti, the vice president of FC Barcelona, commented on the duration of Kylian Mbappe's suspension after his red card in the match against Deportivo Alaves for a foul on Antonio Blanco.
The French star was suspended for only one match in La Liga.
Yusti stated: "The duration of Mbappe's suspension? It is an absurd and meaningless decision; it was an extremely violent foul that could have caused a tear or serious injury. The decision is completely disproportionate."
He added: "Imagine if the foul had been committed by a Barcelona player, which won't happen because our players are professionals; I don't know what would have happened to him."
He concluded by criticizing Mbappe for his foul: "If someone loses their temper like that, it's unfair and confirms that we need to do things perfectly so we don't rely on anyone. Because this is a bad example for football. It's shameful."
