Vinicius: Morocco Capable of Surprising in the World Cup, We Are Focused on Winning

Vinicius Junior, the star of the Brazilian national team, appeared at a press conference to discuss the match against Morocco on Sunday, in the first round of the group stage of the World Cup, at MetLife Stadium.

Vini said in his talk: "Without a doubt, Morocco is capable of surprising in the World Cup as it did in the last edition. There's Brahim Diaz who plays with me, and there's Achraf Hakimi who won the Champions League, in addition to other important players in the world of football. They are improving a lot, it will be a big match."

Regarding the renewal of his contract, which ends in the summer of 2027 with Real Madrid: "Currently, I am focused on the national team. I will talk about everything related to Real Madrid after the World Cup. Right now, all my focus is on my country, my teammates, and delivering a great tournament."

He added, "We came to win the title. We are on par with the major teams. We have exceptional players, and we have developed in recent months. In the World Cup, everything starts from scratch; it doesn't matter who reached the last final or who won the Copa America, what matters is what will happen from now on. We are here to make history."

Regarding the team's playing style: "We have adapted well with the current players. It's unfortunate to lose Wesley, and we wish him a speedy recovery. I won't discuss our playing strategy because Morocco might figure out our plan. We have a strong group capable of delivering a great tournament. The coach always emphasizes that small details decide the World Cup."

He emphasized, "I am at the best moment in my career both physically and technically. I haven't suffered any injuries this season, and I have prepared well for this moment."
