The German club Bayern Munich has announced that star player Leroy Sané has won the award for Best Player of the Month for March, after topping the fan vote with 17%, surpassing his teammates.

Sané participated in 3 matches during the month in the Bundesliga, scoring 3 goals, including one in his team's 1-1 draw against Union Berlin, and a thrilling brace in the 3-2 victory over St. Pauli.

Sané outperformed Thomas Müller, who received 15.2% of the votes, and Michael Olise, who garnered 14.2%.

Commenting on his performance, Vincent Kompany, Bayern Munich's coach, stated earlier: "Sané has been in great form, which is why he has been a regular starter. He is one of the standout talents in the team and has greatly assisted us by scoring important goals recently."
