Flick: This is what I told the players, and we gained an extra point

Hans Flick, the coach of Barcelona, appeared in a press statement after the 1-1 draw against Betis in the 30th round of the Spanish league, in a match held at the Montjuïc Stadium.

The coach said: "I told the players that we have passed another match and gained an additional point in our favor. We tried with all our might to win, but we couldn't achieve it."

He added: "I think we were not lucky in front of the goal, but we played a good match. On days when you can't score, you have to accept it and think positively. What matters to me is that we gave it our all."

He continued: "I always focus on the positives. We gained an extra point and we are now in April. It is a good situation and we must continue on this path."

He added: "We have played four matches in about ten days, achieving three victories and one draw. This is a good record, and I believe we performed wonderfully, including today's match."

He concluded: "I don't see it as the right time to feel disappointed."

He clarified: "I am positive and happy with what the team has shown, especially in the second half, where we were more organized. The first half had some mistakes, but we improved a lot after the break. The opponent did not create significant chances, maybe just one, while we had several clear opportunities."

He added: "The fans supported us a lot. They felt we needed them, but they also saw that we were giving our all."

He concluded: "We have improved a lot over the past three months, and it's great to see that. I think the players feel a bit of frustration due to the result, but tomorrow will be a rest day, and then on Monday we will start preparing for the match against Borussia Dortmund."
