Yasser Rayan Comments on National Team's Performance Against Sierra Leone
Yasser Rayan, former star of Al Ahly, confirmed that Hossam Hassan, the national team coach, does not prioritize performance following Egypt's 1-0 victory over Sierra Leone in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Rayan stated on the "Stadium Al-Mahwar" program: "Hossam Hassan focuses on results, securing three points, and qualifying for the World Cup regardless of performance."
He added: "The Sierra Leone player, Korma, caught my attention and delivered a great performance against the national team, and Hossam Hassan needs to change his playing style against bigger teams."
He concluded his remarks by saying: "The Egyptian team relies on the wings and does not benefit much from the striker, which is unfair to Mostafa Mohamed."
