Mosimane's intriguing comment after South Africa's win over Egypt
South Africa's head coach Pitso Mosimane spoke about his team's victory over Egypt in a friendly match on Sunday at Cairo International Stadium.
South Africa won against Egypt 1-0, with the goal scored by Boso Dithegan in the 51st minute, in a friendly match held at Cairo International Stadium on Sunday evening.
Pitso Mosimane stated in television remarks on ON Sports: "In today's match, we changed the team; I decided to give the opportunity to the substitute players after the starters participated in the qualifying matches."
He added: "We kept only a few players from those who played in the World Cup and the qualifying matches, and we gave the substitute players the chance to participate."
He added: "We are very happy with the young players, these players did not play in the World Cup, and they are providing organized football. We rely on their speed, especially since they excel in that area."
"When I entered Cairo Stadium, I remembered the Derby of the Century and Afsha's goal. Zamalek had Imam Ashour, Zizo, Mostafa Mohamed, and Shikabala with them, and it was our duty to win that match."
