Egypt's national team is preparing to play a friendly match against South Africa next Sunday, October 4, at Cairo International Stadium.

Ahmed Shobair stated in comments via "On Sport" radio: "Salah is in England and will not be present for the match against South Africa. Salah had actually requested not to be available for the match and joined for the match against South Sudan."

Egypt secured a significant victory over South Sudan with a score of 5-0 last Tuesday in the second round of Africa Cup of Nations Qualification at the Juba National Stadium.
