Perez Helps Barcelona: How He Saved the Rival from a Major Crisis?
Monday 17-03-2025
Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, directly contributed to resolving one of the crises faced by Barcelona recently, despite the historical rivalry between the two clubs, due to their shared interests, especially concerning the European Super League project that conflicts with the direction of UEFA.

Barcelona faced a significant crisis during the last winter transfer window in registering Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, due to the financial fair play rules of the Spanish league. After appealing to the Spanish Sports Council, the club received a decision allowing them to register the players.

However, according to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," Perez was not just an observer of the crisis but played a crucial role in resolving it, intervening decisively to help Barcelona overcome legal obstacles and ensure Olmo's registration.

The biggest surprise came during the Spanish Super Cup final held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where Perez not only assisted Barcelona behind the scenes but also boasted about his intervention in front of Barcelona officials, even informing Dani Olmo himself inside the tunnel of the King Abdullah Sports City, which astonished the player.

As a result, Olmo was able to participate in the final and contributed to Barcelona's significant 5-2 victory over Real Madrid, securing the title for the Catalan team. Perez's support for Barcelona comes as part of their ongoing struggle with Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, as well as the collaboration between Real Madrid and Barcelona to support the European Super League project.
