Real Madrid Awaits Green Light from Mourinho to Sign Rodri

Spanish radio station "Cadena SER" revealed that Manchester City player Rodri is the first name on the table for José Mourinho, who is a candidate to take over as coach of Real Madrid in the near future.

According to reports, the departure of Pep Guardiola from Manchester City, along with Rodri's desire to wear the Real Madrid jersey, are considered among the key factors that could facilitate the completion of the deal in the upcoming transfer market.

The sources confirmed that the deal is still contingent on obtaining the final green light from José Mourinho, who will have the primary decision-making authority regarding signings within the royal club.

Real Madrid had shown interest in signing the Spanish international on several occasions in recent years. The club also recently monitored the player's physical condition following his return from a severe knee injury.

Rodri's contract with Manchester City expires in the summer of 2027, which means any official move by Real Madrid would require strong negotiations with the English club.
