Officially: Neymar Adorns Brazil's World Cup Squad

Brazil's national team coach, Carlo Ancelotti, announced the squad for the 2026 World Cup, which includes 26 players, during a press conference held by the Brazilian Football Confederation.

The called-up list included Santos star Neymar Junior, while it witnessed several absences, most notably Igor Jesus, Joao Pedro, Andreas Pereira, Thiago Silva, Gerson, Vitinho, and Hugo Souza.

Ancelotti confirmed during the conference that the process of selecting the squad was extremely difficult, given the presence of many Brazilian names deserving to be part of this tournament. He also emphasized that the Seleção has the ability to strongly compete for the prestigious title.

The list is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Alisson, Ederson, Weverton.

Defense line: Alex Sandro, Bremer, Danilo, Douglas Santos, Gabriel Magalhães, Ibañez, Léo Pereira, Marquinhos, Wesley.

Midfield: Bruno Guimarães, Casemiro, Danilo, Fabinho, Lucas Paquetá.

Forward line: Endrick, Gabriel Martinelli, Igor Thiago, Luiz Henrique, Matheus Cunha, Neymar Junior, Raphinha, Ryan, Vinicius.
