Barcelona midfielder Pedri appeared in press statements after the 4-4 draw against Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals.

The player said: "It is a bitter result especially since we were leading 4-2, this has happened to us in La Liga, we must avoid such things, we need to learn the lesson."

He added: "We played well against Atletico Madrid today in the league match, today’s match started poorly and we conceded two goals which was a blow, but we managed to come back, you have to control the ball, and if not, maybe you have to defend a little more."

He continued: "I feel like an important player, but I prefer the team to win and for people to talk about the team."

He increased: "I have come to the conclusion that we played a great match for 70 minutes. At those moments, we cannot be stopped."

He followed: "In the return leg, we will go in to win, we have full confidence in the team. It will be a tough match there, but we will give our best, there is no doubt about that."
