Ayman Younes, the former Zamalek star, called on the Competitions Committee of the Club Association to punish Imam Ashour, the Al-Ahly star, after celebrating with the white balloon in the Smouha match.

Emam Ashour scored the second goal against Smouha in a match that ended in a victory. Al-Ahmar scored two goals without a response in the league.

During his celebration of the goal he scored, Ashour inflated a white balloon and then ran over it, which sparked widespread controversy.

Some interpreted this celebration as insulting Zamalek, which is known for its white colour.

Ayman Younes said on the On Time Sports channel: “Imam Ashour listens to social networking sites, and he plays in a very big club, which is Al-Ahly, and this celebration is not appropriate for him.”

He added: "It is up to the Competitions Committee regarding this celebration, which I see as out of the ordinary and unacceptable." Imam Ashour must be well aware of this matter.”
