Fonseca: I am not afraid to tell the truth, and the match referee did not respect Milan

The technical director of the Italian club, Paulo Fonseca, appeared in important press statements, following the defeat against Atalanta, in the framework of the fifteenth round of the Italian League championship, with a score of 2/1.

Fonseca said: “I think what we lacked in the second half was reaching the players in the front line. We were unable to get the ball to Rafa and Morata. We lost the match because of two set pieces. In the first half we performed.” Wonderful, but in the second half we missed this connection with the attack.”

He continued: “I want to say something else. I remained silent and never talked about the arbitration, the first goal. It was a clear mistake. The way the referee managed the match did not respect Milan. I am not afraid to speak the truth out loud. I have always respected the work of the referees and I understand that their job is difficult, but there is a lack of respect, and not just in this match.
