Milan Opens Talks with Ruben Amorim

Thursday 11-06-2026
Italian press reports stated that AC Milan held talks with Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim as part of its ongoing efforts to select a new head coach, following the departure of Massimiliano Allegri and several officials at the end of the 2025/2026 season.

The newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" reported that AC Milan's management is still considering several coaching names, while the duo Ralf Rangnick and Oliver Glasner remain the most prominent options for the club's new technical project.

Reports indicated that Glasner, after leaving Crystal Palace, is the frontrunner to take on the managerial role, while Rangnick remains under contract with the Austrian national team, which delays the final decision on his position.

The same sources added that the Milan management continues to meet with other potential coaches, awaiting developments in the Rangnick and Glasner cases before making a final decision on the identity of the new coach.

The reports also indicated that Amorim is among the options being considered, but he is not yet classified as the first choice, as Glasner continues to be favored to lead the team in the upcoming phase.
