Egyptian press reports revealed that Portuguese coach Jose Gomez, Zamalek coach, set his conditions for agreeing to renew his contract and continue his coaching career with the White Castle.
The Zamalek administration has expressed its desire to renew the Portuguese coach’s contract, which expires at the end of the current season, so that he can continue his duties with the first team.
Egyptian newspapers reported that Gomez told Zamalek officials that he welcomed the idea of staying with the team, and that he did not want to leave.
The newspapers indicated that Gomez informed the Zamalek administration of his agreement to renew the deal in exchange for signing strong deals in January, and increasing his salary.
The same sources added that Gomez receives a salary worth 65 thousand dollars a month, including 15 thousand dollars for his foreign assistants, and there is also a clause in the contract for two months’ salary as a penalty clause.
Jose Gomez requested that the contract be amended from the financial aspect and that the value he receives with his assistants be increased to $100,000, according to press sources.
