Shobeir: Moatamed Gamal Deserves Contract Renewal with Zamalek

The media personality Ahmed Shobeir confirmed that Moatamed Gamal, the coach of Zamalek, deserves to have his contract renewed with the White Club at present.

Shobeir stated in a radio interview that Moatamed Gamal led Zamalek to win the Premier League title and reach the final of the African Confederation Cup, so he should be appreciated and his contract renewed.

He added that some board members preferred hiring a foreign coach, but he questioned the feasibility of that given the results achieved by Moatamed Gamal, emphasizing that many did not expect Zamalek to reach the Confederation Cup final or compete strongly for the league title.

Shobeir pointed out that Moatamed Gamal lost the Confederation Cup title only by penalty kicks, questioning: "What is Zamalek waiting for to announce his continuation and honor him for what he has achieved?"
