Gomez about confronting the police: Anything is possible
Zamalek's Portuguese coach, Jose Gomez, spoke about his team's upcoming confrontation against Kenya's Police at the beginning of its campaign to defend the African Confederation Cup title.
The Zamalek team will host the Kenyan Police at the Nyayo National Stadium, tomorrow afternoon, Saturday, in the first leg of the 32nd round of the Confederation Cup.
Gomez said in his statements today, Friday: “The Kenyan Police will not be an easy competitor, and Zamalek has enough strength to be ready for the match.”
The Zamalek coach continued: “Winning the Confederation title is a thing of the past, but we now look to work every day and quickly, to be able to continue to be on the podium.”
Gomez indicated that he will play tomorrow’s match with full technical appreciation of the opponent, and not leave him any opportunity or space on the field.
He continued, saying: “In football, anything is possible, and we must respect the opponent and make every effort to achieve victory.”
