The Spanish club Barcelona revealed, in an official statement, the nature of the injury to young player Fermin Lopez.
The club said: “The tests conducted on Wednesday for the first team player showed Fermin Lopez suffered an injury to his left hamstring muscle.”
He added: “Lopez will be out of action for approximately three weeks.”
Lopez joins the club's injured list, which includes Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Frenkie de Jong, and Javi.
