Joao Paulo, player of the Cape Verde national team, commented on the confrontation with the Egyptian national team, at the opening of the African qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco.

The Pharaohs will face Cape Verde on September 6th, and Botswana on the 10th of the same month.

In his speech through the official account of the Cape Verde national team on the “X” website, the player praised the Egyptian national team and that it is one of the best African champions.

Paulo indicated that the upcoming confrontation will be different from the previous one in the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

The player explained that his country’s national team gained respect after the African Nations Cup. Africa is the last and any opponent will play against them in a different way, so facing Egypt will be different.
