Egypt National Team Undergoes Doping Tests
Al-Ahram portal reported that several players from the Egyptian national team underwent doping tests in the American city of Spokane in preparation for participating in the 2026 World Cup.
The portal clarified that a medical delegation from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) conducted doping tests on a number of national team players, who were selected randomly according to the established procedures.
The surprise samples are part of FIFA's monitoring program to test players before and during tournaments.
The Egyptian national team is in Group G alongside the teams of Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand.
