CAF: Mohamed Salah Pursues an Exceptional Achievement with the Pharaohs in the World Cup
The African Football Confederation "CAF" praised Mohamed Salah, the star of the Egyptian national team, noting that Salah is chasing an exceptional achievement in the 2026 World Cup.
CAF stated: "Mohamed Salah has established his name as one of the best players Africa has produced. Although he has won all possible club titles with his former club, Liverpool, he has not achieved the same success with the Egyptian national team. The Egyptian team has won the Africa Cup of Nations seven times, but this did not happen during Mohamed Salah's tenure with the team. His best achievement was reaching the final in the 2017 and 2021 editions."
He added, "Considering this participation is likely to be his last in the World Cup, Mohamed Salah will aim to give the Egyptian team something it has never achieved in the biggest global event, which is winning a World Cup match and reaching the knockout stages."
According to the report, the 2026 World Cup offers Mohamed Salah a perfect opportunity to make history with the Egyptian national team by aiming for the team's first win in the tournament and reaching the knockout stages for the first time.
The Egyptian national team is in Group G of the World Cup, which also includes the teams of Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand.
The Pharaohs are preparing to face Belgium next Monday in the first round of the World Cup.
