African Union: Zamalek needs the same support provided to Al-Ahly

Luxo September, Director of Media and Communications at the Confederation of African Football, confirmed that Al-Ahly Club always receives support inside and outside Egypt and that Zamalek Club needs... To the same support.

He explained on the “No. 10” program on Channel One: “I hope that Zamalek will return to its former glory, especially since African football needs a team with the size of its history and popularity,” adding: “There are big clubs in Africa other than Al-Ahly, such as Mazembe, Moroccan clubs as well, and Al-Ahly is a big, annoying team that always wants to win championships.”

He continued: “We have to pay attention and look at African football, especially Everyone is always looking for European football, but football in Africa is not a business as it happens on the European continent.”

He concluded his speech: “We seek to form strong clubs that are able to compete, unlike the Al-Ahly, Zamalek, Future and Pyramids clubs from Egypt, for example, and postponing matches remains very annoying for us when setting the dates of matches in the African championships.”
