Nassereddine Nabi, the Tunisian coach of Wydad Casablanca, expressed his regret over the loss his team suffered against their hosts Kawkab Marrakech by two goals to nil, in the match that took place on Saturday evening, as part of the seventh round of the national professional league.

Nabi confirmed, during the press conference after the match, that the coaching staff had put together a specific attacking plan for the encounter, having dedicated a full week to prepare for it. However, the events that occurred during the match prevented the team from executing the vision they had worked on throughout the preparation period.

The Tunisian coach explained that the forced exit of Haitham Hamani just five minutes into the match disrupted Wydad Casablanca's plans and forced the coaching staff to rearrange their strategy, prioritizing finishing the first half without conceding goals. However, things became complicated as they conceded two goals due to avoidable mistakes.

Nabi pointed out that trailing by two goals, along with finishing the match with nine players, made a comeback nearly impossible. He added that he made sure to talk to his players to contain the effects of the defeat, emphasizing to them that such situations remain possible in football.

The head coach of Wydad Casablanca emphasized the importance of taking responsibility and holding onto the fighting spirit, explaining that he urged his players, even in the event of a loss, to exit with honor and bravery after giving their all and defending the club's shirt and emblem with all their strength.

Nabi has urged his players to move past the result of the match against Kawkab Marrakech and focus on upcoming games, continuing to work hard and doubling their efforts, while maintaining a winning mentality and determination to regain balance and return to positive results.

This is the first defeat for the Tunisian coach since taking charge of Wydad Casablanca, succeeding Portuguese Paulo Sérgio Brito, who left his position after being dismissed. Nabil started his journey with the red team with two consecutive victories against Union Touarga Sportif and Moghreb Atlético Tétouan.
