Wydad Casablanca escalates legally after controversial disciplinary decision in Wydad Temara case

Wydad Casablanca has rejected the outcomes of the decision issued by the Central Disciplinary Committee of the National Professional Football League regarding their match against Wydad Temara, confirming that the announced penalty did not include all the legal consequences resulting from the violation in question.

The red club has stated in an official statement that it is committed to exercising all available legal and regulatory measures to appeal the decision and demand the application of the penalties and legal consequences that arise from the incident, in accordance with the regulations governing the competitions.

Wydad Casablanca emphasized its respect for sports institutions and their jurisdictions, but at the same time confirmed that defending the club's rights and legitimate interests will continue through legal and official channels, ensuring the application of competition rules, achieving the principle of equal opportunities, and maintaining the credibility of sports competitions.

The details of the case return to the decision of the Central Disciplinary Committee to consider Wydad Temara as losing 3-0, with a deduction of four points from their tally, consisting of three points specifically for the match and an additional point from their total.

Despite these sanctions, the decision did not award match points to Wydad Casablanca, which prompted the red club to insist on its right to resort to legal proceedings to demand the arrangement of all consequences resulting from the violation.
