Disciplinary committee overturns Wydad Casablanca match result, Temara appeals and Wydad demands points
The Central Disciplinary Committee of the National Professional Football League has issued its decision regarding the match between Wydad Casablanca and Wydad Témara, which took place in the first round of the professional league and ended on the pitch with Wydad Témara winning by three goals to one.
The committee has decided to consider Wydad Temara defeated in the match with a score of 3-0, following the participation of player Imad Babas despite not having served a previous suspension. Additionally, one point has been deducted from the team's total, and further penalties have been imposed on the player and the relevant administrator.
In contrast, Wydad Casablanca failed to benefit from the match points, as the committee upheld the recorded result for the red team. This decision has sparked demands within the club to grant them the points from the encounter, considering their opponent lost them due to a disciplinary ruling.
The file has not been closed yet, as Wydad Tamara announced its intention to appeal the decision to the relevant authorities, while insisting on its legal defenses. Meanwhile, Wydad Casablanca is awaiting developments in the case, hoping for a modification of the decision and the allocation of the match points in its favor.
