Moataz Gamal considers keeping Ali Omar as a starter in the Cairo Capital Cup

Zamalek SC's coaching staff, led by Moataz Gamal, plans to rely on young goalkeeper Ali Omar as a starter in upcoming matches for the team in the Egypt Capital Cup for the 2026-2027 season. This approach is part of a technical study aimed at giving young players the opportunity to participate and assess their levels in local competitions.

Ayman Taher, Zamalek's goalkeeping coach, supports the bet on Omar Abdel Aziz and aims to give him playing experience with Premier League teams through the Cairo Cup.

The coach of Zamalek SC is counting on the high technical abilities of Ali Omar, who is 18 years old, seeing him as a promising future cornerstone for the goalkeeper position. This bet is driven by the impressive performances the young goalkeeper has recently delivered, as well as his previous outstanding international career with the youth and junior national teams.

Abdel Aziz has successfully established himself and gained the trust of the coaching staff after his standout performance in Zamalek SC's recent match against Wadi Degla in the Cairo Capital Cup; this was a match in which he had the full opportunity to defend the team's goal and prove his worth in the starting lineup.
