Hossam Hassan's tenure with the Egypt national team appears to be coming to an end, as reports have revealed a move within the Egyptian Football Association, led by Hani Abou Rida, to terminate the current coaching staff's duties and thank the head coach in the coming hours.

According to reports, Abou Rida has settled on taking this step after discussions that saw all members of the Football Association board agree on the proposal, in light of the recent crises surrounding the coaching staff, and the accompanying anticipation regarding the future of the Pharaohs' technical leadership.

The move aims to finalize the coaching staff before the international break in November, during which Egypt's national team is preparing to face Malawi in the third and fourth rounds of the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2027.

Hossam Hassan took charge of the Egyptian national team in February 2024, and during his tenure, he successfully guided the Pharaohs to the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, finishing the competition in fourth place.

Hossam Hassan led Egypt to their first FIFA World Cup victory in history, after they defeated New Zealand in the last World Cup, in addition to reaching the Round of 16 of the tournament.

Egyptian fans are eagerly awaiting the developments regarding Hossam Hassan's future and the expected decision from the Football Association's board about the identity of the national team's coach for the upcoming period.
