Barcelona set financial condition for signing Pedro Porro
FC Barcelona continue to pursue a deal for Pedro Porro, the Tottenham full-back, but the transfer hinges on the English club reducing their financial demands and reaching a value that aligns with market prices.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport", the player wishes to return to LaLiga and is welcoming a transfer to FC Barcelona, which has reached out to his camp to ascertain his position.
FC Barcelona explored signing Pedro Porro last summer, but the deal fell through after Alejandro Balde and Jules Koundé failed to leave the club, with the sale of one of them supposed to fund the acquisition of the Spanish full-back.
Tottenham are asking for around €70 million to part with Pedro Porro, a fee that FC Barcelona are refusing, prompting the player's camp to intervene and convince the English club to lower their demands.
The January transfer seems difficult without selling one of the defenders, especially as FC Barcelona's priority is to sign a left-sided centre-back at a lower cost, with Pedro Porro still in Hans Flick's plans, and Iván Fresneda being a cheaper alternative.
