Canavaro considers leaving Uzbekistan coaching role after AFC Asian Cup postponement

Italian coach Fabio Cannavaro is considering leaving his position as coach of Uzbekistan after the decision to reschedule the AFC Asian Cup, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Romano has clarified that this possibility is under consideration following the AFC Asian Cup's rescheduling, which was originally set to take place in Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5, 2027, before being moved to the period from December 23, 2027, to January 21, 2028.

Fabio Canavaro's future with the Uzbekistan national team is in question due to changes in the timing of the AFC Asian Cup, with no final decision announced yet regarding his departure.
