Jumaa Aboud replaces Amr Maidani in Syria national team squad
Spanish coach José Lana has summoned defender Jumaa Aboud, a player for Al-Arabi SC, to join the national team squad in preparation for the upcoming international break matches against Jordan and Uzbekistan.
Aboud has been called up to replace defender Amr Midani, who has been ruled out due to injury sustained during a training session with Al Wahda.
Syria will be without Midhat for their next two matches due to injury, prompting the coaching staff to call up Aboud to strengthen the defence ahead of the international break.
Syria's national team is preparing to face Jordan on September 27 in Amman, before meeting Uzbekistan on October 1 in Tashkent.
