Aït-Nouri set to leave Manchester City as Manchester United watch on
Algerian international Rayan Aït-Nouri is set to leave Manchester City during the upcoming winter transfer window, as he has struggled to secure regular playing time since the start of the current season. This situation is prompting him to consider a new experience that would allow him to regain his status and earn more minutes on the pitch.
The website "Gazeta Express" revealed that Algerian left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri does not mind moving to Manchester United, the traditional rivals of his current team, amid interest from the "Red Devils" in strengthening the left side, especially after the injury suffered by Luke Shaw.
The source indicated that Manchester City have set Rayan Aït-Nouri's release fee at around £30 million, with the possibility of agreeing to a loan deal, provided that the agreement includes a clause allowing the deal to be converted into a permanent transfer under specific conditions.
The player's numbers reflect the difficulties he faces within the English team, having not played a single minute in the Premier League this season, while he has only featured in four matches across all competitions, totaling 168 minutes.
Rayan Aït-Nouri's task is becoming more difficult given the options available to the coaching staff, as Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has made it clear that Josko Gvardiol and Nico O'Reilly are ahead of the Algerian player in his plans for the left-back position, noting that the competition between them will determine who gets the chance to play.
Manchester United are not the only club interested in the services of Algerian international Rayan Aït-Nouri, as Everton have also entered the circle of clubs looking to sign him. However, their move remains linked to Jack Grealish's future, who is on loan from Manchester City. The club must finalize the transfer of the English player in order to be able to loan another player from the same team, according to Premier League regulations.
Rayan Aït-Nouri is also at risk of missing the November camp.
On the Algeria national team front, Rayan Aït-Nouri's chances of participating in the November camp appear slim due to his absence from competitive play and not having regained match rhythm, alongside the repercussions of what happened during the October training camp.
According to the source, the player has not apologized to coach Ibrahim Hamdani following his behavior during the previous camp, which adds further uncertainty to his future with the national team ahead of upcoming commitments.
