Mohamed Belloumi wins two awards at Hull City in September
Algerian international Mohamed Belloumi has won two awards at his club Hull City, having been named the team's Player of the Month for September. Additionally, his goal against Chelsea was awarded the Goal of the Month for the same period.
The English club has announced the winners of the Player of the Month awards for August and September, honoring the players who excelled with the team at the start of the 2026-2027 season.
Greek goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis has been awarded Player of the Month for August following his strong start with Hull City, which saw them secure victories over Manchester United and Coventry, as well as reaching the third round of the EFL Cup.
Konstantinos Tzolakis delivered outstanding performances throughout the month, making eight saves and contributing to the prevention of 1.93 goals. He received three nominations from the Premier League, including a nomination for Player of the Month and two nominations for Save of the Month, thanks to his interventions against Braian Mboumo of Manchester United and Taiwo Awoniyi of Coventry.
Mohamed Belloumi has won the Player of the Month award for September after scoring both of his team's goals in a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, in a match where he caught the eye with his attacking performance.
The Algerian player contributed to important points during matches against Aston Villa and Chelsea, before Hull City suffered their first defeat in the Premier League this season against Newcastle away from home, prior to the international break.
Statistically, Mohamed Belloumi made 36 accurate passes and created a goal during the match against Newcastle, scored by Mohamed-Ali Cho, in addition to successfully executing 24 defensive interventions during his three appearances in September.
Thus, the Algerian star has combined the Player of the Month and Goal of the Month awards at Hull City for the same month, after his first goal against Chelsea was chosen as the best among the team's goals during September.
