Algerian international Mohammed Bashir Bloumi continues to receive praise after his impressive performance with Hull City against Chelsea, as he has been nominated for the Player of the Week award in the Premier League following his standout display during the fourth round of the competition.
Bloumi caught the attention last Saturday by scoring a brace against the Blues, during a match that ended in a 2-2 draw, confirming his strong presence at the start of his experience in the Premier League.
The official Premier League account has announced the nomination of the Algerian star for the award, alongside 7 other players, with the winner to be decided by a fan vote.
Bloumi faces competition from several players including Elliot Anderson, a Manchester City player, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, a Leeds United striker, Liv Davis, an Ipswich Town player, Pascal Groß, a Brighton player, João Pedro, a Chelsea player, David Raya, an Arsenal goalkeeper, and Kevin Schade, a Brentford player.
The praise did not stop at his nomination for the award, as English football legend and Newcastle United icon Alan Shearer included him in the Team of the Week for Round 4, marking another acknowledgment of the level the Algerian player is showcasing during his first season in the Premier League.
